The Lingently cast: twelve soft toy characters with an orange star in front.

Fix the message you're writing, right where you write it.

No copy and paste, no new keyboard. It checks English, Spanish, French, German and Portuguese.

  1. A chat app with a message being typed and the star character floating by the keyboard.

    1Type anywhere

Write in any app. Your character waits quietly at the edge of the screen.

  2. The correction sheet showing 3 fixes, with the old words struck through and a one-line reason for one fix.

    2Tap to check

Each mistake is marked, with one line on why. You learn the rule, not just the fix.

  3. The friendly tone rewrite of the message with a Replace button.

    3Replace

Pick the corrected or the improved version, or change the tone. It goes straight back into your message.

Your mistakes become your lessons.

Every slip is saved for practice. A few minutes a day, built from what you actually write, not from a textbook.

A practice card quoting your own sentence: I didn't received the invoice yet.
Redo your own sentences. Fix the exact line you got wrong last week.
My patterns: 6 patterns, 2 fixed, 1 improving, 3 still happening.
See what keeps happening. Your patterns, and which ones you've beaten.
A personal word bank with 124 words and 12 to review.
Keep the words you need. A word bank that grows from your own fixes.

What your buddy can see.

Less than you'd think. It's built to stay out of your business.

Only when you tap
It reads the text field you're typing in, and only when you tap it.
Checked, not kept
Your text is sent securely to be checked, then deleted.
Never passwords or SMS
Password fields and text messages are off limits.
You stay in control
Nothing in your message changes until you tap Replace. Your history stays on your phone.

Questions

Is it a keyboard?

No. Keep the keyboard you have. Lingently is a small character that floats over your apps. Tap it when you want a check. You can also select text, or share it to Lingently.

Does it read everything I type?

No. It reads only the text field you're typing in, and only when you tap it. Never passwords or SMS. Your text is sent securely to be checked, then deleted. See the Privacy Policy.

Which apps does it work in?

Most apps where you type: WhatsApp, Gmail, Slack, Messenger, LinkedIn, your browser and more. If an app blocks it, use the Write screen inside Lingently and copy the result.

Which languages does it check?

English, Spanish, French, German and Portuguese. Pick the one you're learning when you set it up, and change it any time.

What happens after the 14 days?

You move to Free (5 checks a day) unless you choose Pro. Nothing is charged automatically, because the trial never asks for a card.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet. Lingently is on Android for now.

How do I cancel or delete my account?

Cancel Pro in Google Play under Subscriptions. To delete your account and data, follow these steps.
